HR Administrator

About the role

About Us:

At Hive, we’re in the business of helping businesses – and it all starts with people.

From ambitious start-ups to industry giants, we partner with organisations to solve real-world challenges through smart, human-centred solutions. Whether it’s navigating change, designing future-ready org structures, refining talent strategies, or building a thriving culture from the ground up, we bring energy, empathy, and expertise to every challenge.

The Role:

As our HR Administrator, you will be the welcoming, friendly, and efficient first point of contact for all HR-related enquiries from employees and managers across the business.

Operating at the heart of our employee experience, you will triage incoming queries via phone and email, resolve everyday policy questions, support vital compliance administration, and maintain flawless employee records. If you thrive on organisation, collaboration, and the delivery of exceptional internal customer service, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Frontline Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for HR queries via phone and email, providing clear, accurate advice on policies, procedures, and systems.

Ticket & Query Management: Triage incoming HR service requests, ensuring issues are resolved or escalated within agreed SLAs.

Compliance & Onboarding Admin: Manage essential compliance documentation, including Right to Work checks, background checks, references, and deadline reminders.

Data & Systems Integrity: Maintain up-to-date employee records within the HRIS, ensuring strict data protection and confidentiality.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with HRSC Coordinators, HR Advisors, HR Business Partners, and Payroll to ensure seamless HR operations.

Continuous Improvement: Support ad-hoc transactional tasks, wider HR projects, and process enhancements alongside the HR Services Manager.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong computer skills with high accuracy in data entry and administration.

  • Clear, confident communicator capable of building strong working relationships at all levels.

  • Proven ability to prioritise workloads, manage multiple deadlines, and stay calm under pressure.

  • A firm understanding of data privacy and the sensitivity required when handling HR information.

  • A flexible, "can-do" attitude with the ability to work independently using your own initiative.

The Perks:

  • Generous Time Off: 25 days annual leave + 8 Bank Holidays + an extra day off for your Birthday
  • Work-Life Balance: Holiday Buy & Sell scheme for added flexibility, plus hybrid working options
  • Health & Wellbeing: Private Medical Scheme and Company Sick Pay to keep you covered
  • Financial Peace of Mind: 4x Salary Life Insurance, Bonus Scheme, and NEST Pension Scheme
  • Family First: Enhanced Family-Friendly benefits
  • Growth & Career Development: Dedicated learning & development support to help you progress, paired with a culture that gives you the freedom to grow
  • Perks & Culture: Free discretionary office lunches and a supportive, ambitious team that genuinely cares about making work human
